It is especially irritating when we travel abroad either for Business or Pleasure and we are surrounded by those buzzing insects and are threatening to bite anytime they are around us.

Nepal being a country of both mountains and plains has both a hot and cold climate .The low-land plains of the Terai can have tropical temperatures and also the mosquitoes. Mosquitoes in Nepal is not as big issue as in many tropical countries but still at summer times it is a real concern. According to the CIWEC Clinic, in their 26 year history of the CIWEC Clinic taking care of travelers and expatriates, there have only been 2 cases of vivax malaria that may have been acquired from within Nepal. They believe that there is no malaria, dengue or Japanese encephalitis risk in Kathmandu, Pokhara or the mountain trekking areas.
